It was wide known news about Tamil director Suraj making some sexist remarks against her heroine Tamannah and film heroines in general. Tamannah reacted strongly with a press note and many heroines like Lakshmi Manchu and Nayanthara followed suit. But the epic reply came from hero Rana Daggubatti who slammed the director on his twitter handle. Quoting Tamannah’s tweet, Rana said #Just got to know about director Suraaj’s comments. Such a DISGRACE to have people like this work amongst us!! [sic]”. Of late, loose words against women, especially in films in India, are being taken quite seriously these days and a senior director making such comments have come in for harsh criticism.
